The Lume – Melbourne & Indianapolis

Lead Creative & Senior Motion Designer

I served as the lead creative in establishing The LUME Melbourne and its sister gallery in the United States. In this role, I helped shape the creative direction, production pipelines, and workflows that power both immersive venues, also facilitating and mentoring traditional and digital creators as they adapted their work to a completely new, large-scale medium for the first time.

Enter the Technoverse — Bondi Sands

Art Direction and build of Cyber City environment
For this product launch, I art directed and built the immersive content for “Enter the Technoverse,” translating Bondi Sands’ cyberpunk concept into a fully realised immersive digital environment. The project marked my first run with the new Unreal Engine workflow I created and the transition from wallpaper to worlds. This approach made it possible to achieve convincing forced perspective within the real world environment while drastically cutting render times compared to my previous pipeline.

Psychedelic Infinity Room — Newfield’s, Indianapolis

Art Direction, Custom Content, Motion Design
This Infinity Room was part of the Dali Alive experience at The LUME Indianapolis, but this content in particular started life as a test, something I made to experiment in the space rather than for the final show. The client loved it so much it earned its place in the main program, running alongside the Dali-inspired work that also played in the space, despite having a completely different visual language.

Subterra 2023 — Snakepit

Projection Mapping, Custom Content, Live Visuals
I’ve created visuals for Snakepit for many years, and of all the projects, this one’s my favourite. It’s not the biggest stage we’ve built, but it’s the best visual work I’ve done for them. Starting from 2D artwork, I built out a full 3D model, then at sunset, the visuals broke free of the facade, transforming a flat image into a convincing 3D form in real life.
